The Japanese Olympic team defeated its Qatari counterpart, preventing it from moving forward with the Asian Under-23 Football Championship, currently being held in Qatar.
The “Samurai” team qualified for the semi-finals of the continental competition, which qualifies for the men’s football competitions at the next Olympic Games in Paris this summer, after its 4-2 victory over the “Annabi” team after extra time in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
